Dubber is run by version32 LLC. We use your information to translate your voice messages, send them back to you and manage your account. Here's how that works and the choices you have.
Your voice messages
When you send a recording to Dubber, we use AI services to translate it and create audio that sounds like the original speaker. This involves processing the recording, its transcript and the translated audio.
Dubber is for adults. Everyone in a recording must be at least 18 and must have agreed to AI translation and voice cloning. Please share this policy with anyone whose recording you send.
We don't use your recordings or transcripts for advertising.
When we delete data
- Audio playback links remain available while the link message is awaiting delivery, for up to 24 hours. Once delivery is confirmed, the link and audio expire 24 hours after delivery.
- After we download, validate and save a temporary copy of translated audio, we promptly request deletion from the translation provider. We retry failed deletion requests. These requests do not guarantee deletion from inaccessible provider backups.
- After a WhatsApp or RCS audio attachment is confirmed delivered, we delete our copies unless another active delivery or playback link still needs them. For MMS, we keep the serving copy available for 24 hours after confirmed delivery so carriers can finish retrieving it. We do not recall messages or delete recipient copies.
- Lite source audio and transcripts are removed when processing ends. We request deletion of temporary voice clones and retry failures without holding those files. Abandoned worker output expires within 24 hours.
- We retain usage, billing, delivery and operational metadata indefinitely for billing disputes, troubleshooting and long-term reporting. These records do not include retained audio, transcripts or playable links.
We keep account, payment, permission and security records for as long as needed to run your account, resolve problems and meet legal requirements.
Copies saved in messaging apps, by recipients or in providers' backups follow their own retention rules.
Your account and payments
We keep your phone number, delivery information, account preferences and usage details to run the service. We also keep support conversations, permission records and information that helps us fix problems and prevent fraud.
Stripe handles your payment-card details. Dubber doesn't store your full card number.
We don't sell or share your phone number or messaging permissions for other companies' marketing.
The services we use
ElevenLabs processes Premium translations, including the free trial. OpenAI and Cartesia process Lite translations.
OpenAI doesn't train its models on API data by default. ElevenLabs and Cartesia may use submitted content to improve their models unless an account opt-out or separate agreement applies. Their policies explain this in more detail: ElevenLabs and Cartesia.
We also use Telnyx, Meta, Google and mobile carriers to deliver messages; Cloudflare and Convex to host Dubber and store data; Firebase for sign-in; and Stripe and Metronome for payments and billing.
Some providers process data in other countries, including the US. We use encryption and restrict access to help protect your information.
Your choices and getting help
You can contact us to ask for a copy of your data, correct it or request deletion. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to restrict its use, withdraw permission or challenge how we handle a request. These choices also apply to people whose voices appear in recordings.
Email support@trydubber.com. For account deletion, include your Dubber phone number. We may ask you to confirm your identity and will explain any records we need to keep.
